Create the current planner or journal title and its edition.
Prepare this year’s planner without sending last year’s files.
Keep dated releases, undated variants, approved interiors and covers, production specifications, and package history attached to the correct book and edition.
Create your account, choose your publishing focus, and follow the guide from your first edition to its prepared package. Complete publishing in your existing retailer accounts.

Your first three steps
Record final print specifications and approve the matching files.
Prepare the KDP package and keep its version record for the release.
2027 planner paperback
This example shows how review and preparation work. It does not upload, validate, or submit a book.
- Manuscript v22027-planner-interior.pdf
- Cover v12027-planner-wrap.pdf
The files are approved in this example. Review the current destination requirements before preparing a package.
Prepared package
- The exact approved manuscript and cover versions
- A metadata worksheet and CSV for destination entry
- A version record with file IDs and checksums
Prepared, delivery unconfirmed. Finish delivery in the destination portal and record its acknowledgement to mark the package Submitted.

Approved private versions
A new upload creates a version. It does not replace the current approval until you review and approve it. Keep manuscript and cover history with the edition.
Destination-specific review
Review metadata, rights, territories, pricing, exclusivity, and approved-file requirements. Changed information requires a fresh review. Readiness supports preparation, not guaranteed acceptance.
Package and receipt history
Prepare KDP ebook or supported print packages, Apple Books and Google Play Books ebook packages, or BookBub promotion applications. Record delivery and later outcomes separately from preparation activity.
Frontlist performs available technical checks. You still review content and provider previews, run current EPUBCheck before approving an EPUB, and use print proofs where applicable.
